I’ve seen Ashtanga videos, it looks too hard for me. How could I possibly attempt that?
Erica will tailor the postures to suit your physical needs, availability and goals. Working together one on one provides you the time you need to understand the practice in your own way and to receive the attention you have been yearning for. Group classes allow you to practice what you have learned as you flow with your fellow yogis, appreciating, learning from and cheering on your community.
If you have never tried yoga before, Erica will introduce you to the poses slowly so you can figure out where to place your feet, keep your balance, breathe and relax into the pose.
If you have a little experience or have been away from it for a while, start slow until you get used to the flow of breath and postures.
If you have a regular practice and words like vinyasa, Mysore, bandhas and ujjayi are in your regular vocabulary, our approach will support you in your daily lifestyle of practice.

What happened to Emmaus Yoga?
We closed the physical studio during pandemic and moved online. A year later we moved to a home where we now practice and teach yoga. One highlight of our new space is practicing outdoors, surrounded by trees, birds and the beauty of nature. Since then we’ve been practicing, reimagining the Ashtanga practice and embracing all these changes.
Is there a physical location where you teach classes?
At our home studio in Macungie and at Anti-Gravity YogaLab in Allentown.
