40 hour ashtanga immersion
What you will learn:
Orientation & proportion: Why we won't do any posture just like anyone else.
Drishti: Deepening your practice by sharpening your visual sense with exteroception exercises
Building your practice: whether you are just beginning Ashtanga or have an established practice, we will discuss aging through your practice, maintaining motivation, adapting for lifes’ challenges, injuries and more.
By breaking down the postures in terms of spinal movements: forward/backward, twisting, hip openers and core strength, you will discover the physical nuances of the postures and the benefits of a consistent Ashtanga Yoga practice.
Ashtanga is fun! This training will be a fun exploration as you learn, discuss and uncover the deeper significance of the techniques of Ashtanga in our cohort.

Yoga students that have some familiarity with the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga and looking for continuing education.

This training will be a fun exploration as you learn, discuss and uncover the deeper significance of the techniques of Ashtanga in our cohort. It will deepen the meaning of your practice and give you tools so that you may share this practice with others.
Yoga experience and goals
Participants should have some experience with Ashtanga vinyasa yoga and a determination to learn, transform or reestablish their personal practice.
